worklife

while alex and mel were facing  off with cashiering, i am facing off with sales asst-ing.

while the other sales asst have jobs to restock and order from the suppliers, my job is to primarily walk rounds around the  supermarket and arrange them, and pushing the items when theres empty spaces at the front. (aka phase out)

and helping the others with carrying and restocking things sometimes.

i was assigned the dry dept, but nowadays i do almost everywhere except the fruits&veges, and the poultry.
the rest includes things like general foodstuff, toiletries, pharmacy etc, and the wine,and the dairy section.

DAIRY
freezing cold temp. but i am more or less used to it le.in fact i prefer this section..

CANNED food/ glass bottled stuff
i dislike those canned food which does not have a base that locks in with the top.
and trying to reach in into narrow spaces while trying not to knock over anything.

DRINKS
mineral water, canned drinks, sparkling water, tonic water, bottled drinks, carry-on boxes of cans etc.
easiest to arrange.

WINE/BEER
most expensive section. and the only section where everything looks the same.
i try not to touch though ivy (the person in charge) keeps askin me to help carryout the stocks and stuff.
hopin to learn more about them.

EGGS/BREAD
Bread is easy.Eggs are okay. except for one time when so many of the np-frills eggs broke in a single day cos customers just seem to not like the ones at the top.

CUSTOMERs.
i prefer customers who ask about things i know.
and things we do sell (green tea havour??)

i am really trying hard to remember the places of many many different products.

OBSERVATIONS.
the box of singapore curry sells out real fast! haha.
and the bottles of first-choice mineral water.

i remebered also helping the cahsiers with the packing, buit i just cant seem to catch up with the cashier.

thats all! will be in hongkong for the cny. 6 days leave! =))
