Because Mum is currently not receiving any treatment, she is felling the best in so many months (or even years)!
Just days ago, she was still hestitant about accompanying us on our CNY visits (as with past years, flatly refusing). But the day before, she decided to go! I was like so surprised. For one thing, she hasn't been visiting for years due to going overseas, and then being sick. And until recently, she hasn't had the energy to go out except to SGH NCC. Of cos, we were with mixed feelings, but mostly happy.
Went there, and I could see that Mum's happy after going out after so long. The aunts and uncles and cousins (father's sides) were happy to see her also! "稀客” as my mum said of herself. She chatted alot with them, and ate quite a bit, including CNY goodies, yusheng, lunch and dinner.
And today, auntie nancy came along and chatted alot with her too! Old friends do have alot to say. And she has been regularly visiting since months back, everytime ending with a prayer for her. This time was no different, and even though my mum is not a Christian, she gladly accepted it.
In the afternoon we went to my other aunt (mother's side) to visit, and then went to the River Hongbao @ Marina Barrage. Despite the initial drizzle, and then the hot weather which followed, she was happily taking photos and eating all the food there.
Now she's complaining of the pain in her gums, probably to the heatiness or eating too much hard stuff. haha. Hope this appetite continues! so that she can have the strength to be move active during the day, and sleep better at night.
The fact still remains that she is currently under hospice care.
"不要想太多。。。开心就好！”as she said.
