E-Learning;The Standford Prison Experiment

Whole afternoon was spent on e-learning
Got some parts the audios not even sync with the video of powerpoint slides...=/
but overall not too bad la.

for Gp, we were told to access a website on an experiment done on students on prison life! "The Standford Prison Experiment"
The students have actually responded to an ad for volunteers in a study of the psychological effects of prison life.
And to do that a fake prison Standford Prison was set up, with the hand-picked volunteers being assigned to be either guards or prisoners.
And they fitted in their roles so well that they didnt think of it as a study - they thought of themselves as really a guard/prisoner and behaved like one.
The guards tortured the prisoners just like how prisoners of war in the iraqi war, and in the nazi regime were.
the prisoners retaliated , went on strike, and even escaped and tried to organise a breakout.
The officers had to plan to prevent the breakout, breaking up the allies etc.
Quite an interesting account.
