lots of interesting things happended yesterday.
but i didnt have time to blog yesterday, so here im today (before i forgot)
Firstly, we had a 4.5 hours break!
Thats a pretty long time compared to our usual break of half to one hour...
Partly its because of the fact that our chem teacher didnt come and we had a 2 hour lab session.
and partly because we had h1 physics after that, something which most of 1 didnt take.
and lastly, with lunch....
and we were at the library chatting, slacking, trying to do work, and getting "scolded" by the library teacher (our ex-GP teacher), also partly looking for our juniors...
After lunch, we had physics lab session.
the different groups are supposed to present our demonstrations on physics concept.
most of us did on the topic of mechanics.
but one group did something cool.
they put the head of three matchsticks tgt, with 2 attached (stuck) to the box, and the 3rd one resting on them.
then, the matchsticks is lighted using another matchstick, and as the 3 matchsticks burn tgt, the 3rd matchstick "flew up" and moved slightly.
It is due to the warping of the wood or something. I thought it was cool...
Next, we had malay classes at our chinese period.
here some phrases i learnt:
"Selamat Petang, Nama Saya Jason. Saya tinggal di Ang Mo Kio, Singapura. Saya ada satu adikberadik - satu abang. Apa khabar?"
(Good Afternoon, I am Jason. I live in Ang Mo Kio, Singapore. I have 1 sibling - 1 elder brother. How are you?)
numbers:
0=kosong/sifer, 1=satu, 2=dua,3=tiga, 4=empat, 5=lima, 6=enam, 7=tujuh, 8=lapan, 9=sembilan, 10=sepuluh, 11=sebelas, 12=duabelas...19=sembilanbelas, 20= duapuluh, 21=duapuluhsatu...58=limapuluh lapan...100=seratus...928=sebilanratus duapuluh ratusrapan...."
it was overall a rather fun lesson. As I didnt go for the first lesson last week, I was rather surpriesd when my friends tell me "got malay lessons later". Me and the other "babysitters" (as our GP teacher called us OGLs and councilors) responded with a "????"
I finally got a new phone yesterday!
phone model is the Nokia 5610. With a 12-month upgrade, it costs $198.
Partly my savings, partly my dad's. =)
Details of phone
For PE today, we had height and weight.
I grow taller by 1cm! to 166cm.
But i lost 200g...=.=" to 44.8kg (think now machine got decimal place, thats y...)
I seriously need to eat much much much more.
Just as our teacher is dismissing us, he spotted smoke rising from outside school = fire!
comes from the direction near my flats...:o
and we saw a fire engine coming by the next instance (efficient civil defense)
