DAY 3
SL camp ended on a high note.
morning of poison ball amidst threatening black clouds.
so i preyed harder not for it to rain...
next was dance. a failure.
me and chun hui helped nicholas to demo.
they watched our demo, and about half was trying.
but after nicholas gave them break, nobody came back le! =.="
so in the end , it was OTOT program by us SIs.
games with group a, before going for field cooking.
it was fun!
lets see, when was i the last time i had it?
it was like 1-2 years ago?
and now i am teaching.
i was in charge of the girls and a boy from my group.
one is an experienced girl guide, one is a calm pri 5, one is a timid pri 2, and one is a guy who keep touching the floor and in the end have to wash hands 3-4 times.
but the real cooking for the kids took place already during the sports session.
mass cooking the noodles meant for the children and staff.
in the end, the noodles cooked earlier wasn't enough, and our share was also given to them.

but luckily good kind mstay ordered pizzas for us. =)
i had to run home cos i forgot to bring the CIp volunteer form.zzz

up next is supposed to be the kids' own rehearsal for their annual concert for parents or something.
but hall and mph is unavailable.
so a last-min gathering of the whole class was ordered by wilson.
he (like army commander liddat) "ordered" the whole class to make space for the rehearsal in the canteen by pushing aside the tables and chairs.
barely less than 3 mins later...it was all done!
even we ourselves were amazed at how united the class was.
even though it was a simple act of pushing the chairs and tables aside, everyone joined in and the whole thing was done in a swift clockwork manner without a single hesitation.
only saw one or two dances, whereby some from my group also got performed, and then dunno wat happened le..
prize giving ceremony. everyone got the same prize, but each individual group got a special award for the prize's reasons. (this sentence is funny, ..but u get what i meant)
my group got the "most lovable group" award! hahas.
there was about 30 mins left.
it was OTOT time again.
my group suggested catching!
i agreed. physically, i regretted it, but mentally, i am glad i had that little fun time left with the kids.
we played freeze and melt (ice and water in my time) with 2-3 other groups and we SIs are the catchers.
its hard to outrun the kids, truthfully.
you can run faster than them, but you can never outwin them in terms of their activeness.
nevertheless, it was fun, judging that I (we) haven had that game since like primary sch.
photo taking before they left.
they keep waving bye to us, and we too was sad to see them go and for the camp to pass so fast le.

me and marcus recieved lots of sweets and chocos from our group during the 3 days.

the sengkang kids did something for their SIs. my group was that of the cheng san branch...
after the cleanup and stuff... the whole class gathered back in hq to settle monetary issues.each of us had to contribute $4.
everyone was still in so high spirits after the camp, playing kids games like chopsticks and lom chaim pa, chasing each other. we were of course, also back to our old self, cursing each other and stuff (like toupok-ing)...hahahahaha.

we kept the stuff in the council room first.
wonderful class - i dare say of 21o7. thanks for the experience once again. this camp (and the harmoc SL) had not only given me the experience of working with kids, it also taught me patience, flexibility, better "crowd control" and also how to think like them. things that we felt are childish and cheap might actually be very fun and meaningful to them. Ie, the prize of a pencil and gummy bears for each children seem cheapo to us, but the kids were atually fighting to get it, and had a big wide grin after reciving it.
