============================================
Buttercup borrowed $50 from Bubbles.
And another $50 from Blossom.
With $100 on her hands,
she bought $97 worth of Currypuffs.
$3 was what she had remained.
She returned a dollar to Bubbles and Blossom each.
The last dollar, she kept for herself.
She owes Bubbles and Blossom $49 each.
That would be $98 in total.
Including the dollar Buttercup kept, the total amount equals to $99.
Now, where is the $1?
========================================
solution:
google "the missing dollar on the internet and you would find many other similar maths puzzles...
for this question :
Before borrowing | After borrowing, before buying | Right after buying | After giving back $1 s | |
Buttercup | $0 | $100 | $3 | $1 |
Bubbles | $50 | $0 | $0 | $1 |
Blossom | $50 | $0 | $0 | $1 |
Currypuff Shop | $0 | $0 | $97 | $97 |
Total | $100 | $100 | $100 | $100 =D |
hope this helps .
*btw, you are not supposed to add the $1 to the $98...should be subtracted = $97, = what they paid in total.*
