got back my SS paper today - 32/50
my class did pretty well and mdm.anatha couldn't sing enough praises of us.
In fact, she mentioned that our class did the best for SS for the whole level
[congrats 4/1]

then mrsgoh came in and stated that she was jealous of our achievements in SS
meaning that we didn't do well for chem (expected? O.o)
she emphasised on the no.of days left
and spoke to some people who didn't do well
even wei xun got called out - sighz

didn't get back the other papers as expected.
that include chinese english an chemistry

we did some practises for english
an ms.kariim was showing us one very torching powerpoint slide show here
es a summary :

Its of a son who had a mother with only one eye
She cooked for the school to earn money
and one day when she called out to him (the son)
he scolded her for making him embrarressmenent and a joke of his friend

He grew up, went Singapore, studied, work and have a successful family Singapore
when she went Singapore to visit him, he scolded her and sort of chased her away
once, when he invited to a school reunion back in his hometown, he went back to his home out of curiosity for a look

He found out that her mum had died
a letter was given to him by his neighbours

You know, when you was young, you had an accident and lost an eye. I could not bear to see you growing up with only one eye and being the laughing stock of other people.......

money is a REAL issue for me nowadays.
I have barely saved enough for the grad night and now have to pay up for:
-4/1 chalet = 17 bucks
-2/3 chalet = not sure how much
-physics, chem, maths e GCE o level june paper.... about $1.80 each

--dashing my hopes of saving enough up for my own digital camera by the end of the year
